As a photographer, sunset is my favorite time of day. It’s the warm, golden glow from the sun reaching for the horizon and the warm fuzzy feelings that come with it. When Lauren reached out to me for a shoot with her babe, I knew it would be perfect. We decided to meet in Wayzata for a photo shoot at sunset on Lake Minnetonka and make a little magic in the golden light last Friday.
But before we get to the good stuff, a quick story. This is not the first time Lauren and I have met. But it was the first time I’ve seen her in at least four years. Back in the day when we were just little babies trying to figure out life in college Lauren and I worked together at the student newspaper at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I was the sports editor, she was both a student athlete and a writer. I graduated first and haven’t seen her since.
It was so fun to reconnect with her and meet her seriously hilarious boyfriend last week. And having met in a city on the lake it only felt right that we’d reconnect for their sunset photo shoot on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. This is one of my favorite sessions of the year and got me so excited for sunset shoots all summer long.
