Boom Island Park Winter Couple Session with N+E

This week I had the pleasure of photographing a former coworker-turned-friend and his lovely girlfriend. We got the best light, the most beautiful winter sunset, and with these two pretty people? I loved everything about this Boom Island Park winter couple session.

Tell me you don’t need photos like this in your life? That’s what I thought. This was so much fun and I’d love to do it every Monday night. I hope the sneak peeks you see below inspire you to get outside, call your favorite photographer (or just grab an iPhone!) and snap some dreamy winter photos before the snow goes away.

Okay time for a little back story on this session.

Norman and I used to work in the same sports department at the NBC affiliate in Duluth. We bonded over our love of sports (obviously) and the general chaos that comes with a job like that. (He’s also the dude who helped me realize that sports broadcasting was NOT my calling and I couldn’t be more grateful!) Eventually, he moved to the East Coast for a gig and I moved down to the Twin Cities. When he landed a job back in Minneapolis a few years ago at a local news station, I was so excited to have my friend back in the Twin Cities.

Enter the lovely Erin. When Erin and Norman got together, you could just tell they were the perfect fit. She’s sweet, but sassy and doesn’t put up with any shit. And I love it. She’s the chatty half to Norman’s quiet side and I just love hanging out with the two of them.

Here are some sneak peeks of their fun, laid back Boom Island Park winter couple session. And if you want to sneak in a fun winter session just like this, reach out to get on my schedule!
