Emily & Mike are one of my highlights from 2020. We met earlier in the year over Facetime and I immediately felt like Emily and I had known each other forever.
She’s quick to laugh, so laid back and just the easiest person to talk to. Which made this shoot with them about 15x more fun.
They traveled all the way to the Twin Cities from their home near St. Cloud this chilly December afternoon. We hung out in their car at Long Lake Regional Park before we started shooting. They brought be an extra hard seltzer to get us all loosened up. (Which is honestly the best way to start a session if you’re a little nervous and you drink alcohol. I won’t ever say no to this!)
Then we headed out. They snuggled up to stay warm, played in the tall grass and popped champagne to celebrate. I brought a big thermos of hot cocoa to warm them up at the end of the session. Which was a great idea until Mike poured one out on accident. Whoops.
Why it takes weeks not days to edit your wedding photos.
All in all, a fantastic day with these babes for a Long Lake Regional Park engagement session. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Here’s more of the good stuff from their shoot:
