Let me just start this by saying, I adore this sweet, hilarious, sassy AF woman. Here’s a funny little story about Clare. I’ve known her for basically my entire life. We went to the same elementary school. She was in my brother’s grade and I remember her being this energetic spitfire of a girl, even when we were small. Then, later on, we ended up at the same high school and were lacrosse teammates. But then I graduated, left for college in Minnesota and we haven’t seen each other since.
So when she messaged me on Instagram telling me she loved my work and already knew she wanted me to be her wedding photographer, I was so thrilled. And keep in mind this was before they were even engaged! So when the day came and Clare sent in an inquiry I did a little happy dance and got ready to capture these precious moments for my former classmate and teammate.
She choose a location she called her happy place. It was only a quick couple of miles down the street from my parents’ home and yet I’d never actually explored it. Well, ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you this place was a hidden GEM. I mean look at this fairytale of a gallery! I am so freaking happy we found time to do Clare and Zach’s Plymouth, Michigan engagement photoshoot this summer.
